Selfie Stick

We are living in the final session of 21st centuary. Technology is rushing like light and it also changed the lifestyles of peoples. Recently a small photographic equipment which is called "Selfie Stick" becomes one of the most popular discovery in the whole world.

A selfie is a self portrait photograph typically taken with a hand-held digital cameras or camera phone. Selfies are often shared on social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. A selfie stick is a  monopod used to take selfie photographs by positioning a small smartphone or camera beyond the normal range of the arm. The metal stick are typically exstensible, with handle on one end and an adjustable clamp on the other end to hold a phone in place.

The CEO of online Australian electronics retailer Kogan.com launched a "Zuckerberg Selfie Stick'' in 2013. The product was listed in time magazine's 25 best inventions of 2014.

Distinctly Indian App

News, opinions, magazines and much more. And above all, Indian. We are talking about the all in one app 'Plash'. Developed by Plash Digital Laboratories, its the ultimate spot for information seekers. What it does is that, it gathers info from different sources and combines them into an integrated whole in the app. In a way it does the sorting and assembling of data we want. Job done!.

There are lots of sections in the app itself ranging from News, Technology  to Arts & Culture, Life Hacks etc. And the part which I like most, it lets you read magazines for free. Yeah absolutely free!!
How cool is that??  India Today, Outlook, Men's Health and the like are some of the magazines listed.

Plash has grown into an information hub. Its somewhat similar to the Flip board but has a distinct flavor and allows you to do more. Barring a slightly  slow speed everything is super cool about the app. It does consume some data but its nothing compared to what it offers. People who want to know more, especially the students can make a lot out of it.

Hats off to the developers for doing such a great job and its available in Google Play as well as  the App store. Do try it. The caption of the app 'Distinctly Indian' says it all

Have a look please…

.  Let go the assumption that the world is against you, or that you were born with a gray cloud over    your head
.  Understand that the past does not equal the future
.See yourself as a cause not an effect
. Use positive affirmatives
. Remember that life is short

Speak five lines to yourself every morning
.  Anything is possible
.  My circumstances do not create me, I create my circumstances
.  The only thing I can control is my attitude towards life
. I always have a choice
.  I choose to live my positive side of life

Tip
Do not worry about the past or future, Remember that the past is history, future is mystery, and today is a gift….. And that is why it’s called present.

Warning
Realise that it’s not about what happens to you, it’s about how you react to what happens.

Past is your experience
Present is your experiment
Future is your expectation

Use your experience in your experiments to get your expectations.

Start Believing In Yourselves; Today Itself!

"Can I do it really?'', ''Will I fail in that task?''. These are questions that have pervaded our mind at some point of time. Often, it comes out of lack of self belief. If you don't trust yourselves in what you do, you will finally end up doing nothing.

Fear of lack of suitable information makes us hesitant in doing many things. But let me tell you, nobody out there has got the 'complete knowledge' on anything. Self believing people back themselves in what they do and get the job done. In this globalised world a vast sum of knowledge is easily available and you can consume it your needs. If you try to know more, you will feel the urge to do more, making you more enriched.

Ducking the responsibilities won't do any good, but taking them on will. You got to believe in yourselves in what you do, whether its taking a big responsibility or doing something you have never done before.

If you can't trust yourself, then whom can you? The answer: Nobody. I don't mean to say that you should everything on your own without asking other's opinions. Seeking opinion from others can help throw more light and experience into what we do, but the ultimate decision should be yours too.
Start deciding for yourself and you will see a better person coming out of you.

We Too Are Human Beings.....

Women are an integral part of the society. From influencing they are outwitting men in jobs. From outwitting now they are dominatingin many spheres. In the phase of social suppression, focused and sustained action is required to awaken women to the possibilities of self reliance,to build confidence and organise women to take charge of their own development.

Fear is one factor which affects lives of women in our country. Often they could not voice their sufferings due to fear and other social, cultural and religious constraints. "It happens only in India" the statement which reflects our society, humiliates the pride of the nation and the dignity of men and women. If men chose not to exploit women there will be a substantial reduction in attrocities against women. Masculinity is not abusing women. It is respecting and treating them as equal.

What Indira Gandhi did , what Malala showed us, I think we all can do it. Women empowerment should be not be something for discussion and debate only., It is something to be made real and practised in society. The possibilities that lie ahead of us are infinite. A world where every woman lives a life of self reliance and dignity is my dream.

I Can Make You Smile!!

Buddies..we love to have them. They make our life colourful. Friendship is  having a strong relationship with people who  will help keep you healthy and happy. It makes life a sweet and pleasant experience. Friends are indeed assets and they can affect us positively as well as negtively. It all depends on how we choose our friends.

There are many forms of friendship, some of which may vary with lifestyle, certain characteristic are common in all friendships. Such characteristic include affection, sympathy, empathy, honesty, mutual understanding, and compassion, enjoyment of each other company trust, and the ability to be oneself, express ones feeling, and make mistakes without fear of judgement from the friend

In childhood, friendships are often based on the sharing of toys, and the enjoyment received from performing activities together. These friendships are maintained through affection, sharing, and creative playtime. While sharing is difficult for children at the age, they are more likely to share with someone they consider to be a friend. As children mature, they become less individualized and more aware of others. They begin to see their friends points of view, and enjoy playing in groups. They also experience peer rejection as they move through the middle childhood years. Establishing good friendships at a young age helps a child to be better acclimated in society later on in their life.

In every society in the world people have and follow the friendship relationship and support it. In some societies this relationship is given more importance than others. In our society friends are given almost the same attention as ones family member Family is the closest relationship a person has, and if that is disturbed a friend can be very helpful. Money is an enemy of friendship. Everybody has an attraction for money. When lending or borrowing of money is done between two friends, there is great risk. Friendship may be affected. So it is wise for true friends to avoid monetary transaction. Vanity is another element which breaks friendship. Everybody has self-respect. When a person tries to criticize his friend, their friendship is affected must be treated very delicately

Wake Up Youth!!!

The youth in India is passing through circumstances never experienced in the history of the nation. Our country boasts of millions of educated youth. The question is how far do they contribute to nation building. Very few people realise how important they are and what their roles are. Service is not reserved only for doctors and soldiers. It can be done by everyone.

Education's primary motive is to make youth realise things and have a vision. As Mahatma Gandhi said " Live as if you were to die tomorrow and Learn as if you were to live forever ". Where education fails to make an impact, the human resource output is reduced. Primary step towards empowering youth is to provide knowledge. Education should be imparted in such a way to encourage them to go beyond classrooms and into the society.
In a free country like ours, there are lots of choices. In a wider context he choices we make in turn decides the fate of the country. Its easy to lead a life bothering nothing and enjoying. But such a life is meaningless. Responding to the call of the nation should be the vision of every youth in the nation.
We cannot go back and start a new beginning, but we certainly can start today and make a new ending. What we require is a positive attitude and progressive thinking. Of course there will be obstacles and cynical naysayers who pulls us back. But our success depends on whether we are determined followers of dreams, rather than bowing to these naysayers. Now its wake up time for all of us.
